I, the Client, understand the Terms and Conditions of engagement for

Horse Minders is available at www.horseminders.co.nz Further to this, I have read the following T's&C's and agree to the following Liability Policies (NB: Public Liability Insurance is part of Horse Minders standard operating practices):

Horse Minders and its minders agree to provide services stated in this contract in a reliable and trustworthy manner. In consideration of these services and as an express condition thereof, the client expressly waives any and all claims against Horse Minders or its minders, unless arising from gross negligence on the part of Horse Minders or its minders. Client agrees to notify Horse Minders of any concerns within 24 hours of returning home.

Horse Minders and its minders shall not be held responsible for any injury, death, loss, theft, or illness complications horses may suffer, while unattended.

Horse Minders and its minders reserve the right to move a horse to shelter in the event of extreme temperatures/weather and cover/rug if appropriate and approved by the Client.

The Client understands that all horses occasionally have paddock accidents and agrees to reimburse Horse Minders for all costs (including, but not limited to, medical care and lost wages) associated with contracting any ailments while exposed to horse(s).

Horse Minders and its minders does not accept aggressive animals. Client agrees to be responsible for all costs (including, but not limited to, veterinary care, medical care, legal fees, etc) if client's horse should kick/bite another person or animal while attended.

Horse Minders prefers not to mind acutely ill animals or those with any contagious conditions. We suggest the client communicates special circumstances in the initial enquiry.

Horse Minders and its minders does not diagnose, provide prognoses, or make therapy decisions, nor does Horse Minders offer veterinary services. Any veterinary/medical concerns will be referred to a veterinarian, however we will advise when and if we identify a possible problem to the best of our abilities.

Client authorizes Horse Minders and its minders to obtain the services of a locksmith should a key/padlock/gate opener malfunction. Client is responsible for all related charges.

Cancellation Policy Horse Minders and its minders reserves the right to deny service or terminate service if job differs from original consult or if the job poses safety concerns, financial concerns, or inappropriate or uncomfortable situations for any of our minders. Should the Client need to cancel the booking this must be done as soon as possible. If cancellation is made more than 21 days prior to booked date Horse Minders will refund 80% of payment; if within 21 days of booked date Horse Minders will refund 20% of payment.

Business Hours: Business hours are between 1pm to 7pm Monday to Sunday and services are usually completed during this time. However, some exceptions may apply.

Emergencies: Client agrees to authorize Horse Minders to handle any emergencies that may arise. Horse Minders will make every effort to contact the client, however Client gives Horse Minders authority to act in the horse's best interest and be available at an hourly rate of $40 excluding GST. Horse Minders reserves the right to employ another minder in the event of extreme circumstances such as inclement weather. Horse Minders requires you to have a responsible party to take care of your horse(s) in the event of a natural disaster. It is best your emergency contact is a neighbour so they can reach your home. Horse Minders and its minders is not responsible for horses in these circumstances.

Payment Arrangement: Full Payment is required before services are rendered. In the event of additional unforeseen visits or other costs (such as food, supplies, vet fees, etc.) full payment of these items is expected within 5 days of your return or an additional late charge of $50 excluding GST will be applied.
